Unit Elections Sign-up is Open December 1.
Unit Elections will be conducted from January 1 through April 30. OA Troop Representatives or Scoutmasters should schedule elections one of three ways; at OA Chapter or Lodge Executive Committee meetings, by signing up at Roundtable, or by registering online. Elections must be completed by April 30 and the paperwork submitted to the council service center by May 1. Please schedule elections at least 2 WEEKS IN ADVANCE so there is time to schedule a team to do the election. We appreciate if you include alternate dates. Current OA members both youth and adult are needed to help on election teams. Please contact your Chapter Chief or the Lodge Elections Committee if you are interested in helping. The Election Chairs are Daniel Tahtinen and Blake Stephens - firstname.lastname@example.org.

ADULT NOMINATION RULES HAVE CHANGED:
Click Here for the new rules (pdf)
The rule of 1/3 now applies. This rule means for every 3 youth elected ONE adult may be nominated. As an example, if you have 2 youth elected, you may nominate 1 adult. If you have 5 youth, you may have 2 adults. In addition to this rule, the scoutmaster may be nominated if they have been scoutmaster for at least a year and meet all other camping requirements. Nominations must be received with the other election information by May 1.
If your Troop has elected OA candidates, you are not attending Camp Long Lake this summer, but you would like your callout at another BSA long term camp, you must request in writing an Out of Council callout (Below). Include the camp you will be attending, the dates attending, and the name, address and phone number of the council operating the camp. Submit the request to Lodge Adviser Nick Ciesinski at email@example.com or to the Council Service Center. All Unit Election forms including Unit Election Report, Adult Recommendation, and Out of Council Request must be received at the Council Service Center by May 1.
