Spring Conference

Spring Conference is a weekend of service and fellowship. We help prepare our council camp, Camp Long Lake, for the summer camp season. We also hold Ordeal, Brotherhood, and Vigil ceremonies at Fall Conference. The 2021 Spring Conference will be held June 4 - 6, 2021 at Camp Long Lake.

2021 Spring Conference Details:

The Activities Committee is proud to present to Wag-O-Shag Lodge the theme of the 2021 Spring Conference! This year's Spring Conference theme is going to be Halloween in June! So feel free to come join us in your favorite Halloween costume at Camp Long Lake June 4-6th for the best spring conference of your life!

Wag-O-Shag Lodge has a multitude of service opportunities and fun to offer at Spring Conference. We will be helping prepare Camp Long Lake for the summer season by completing an abundance of service projects. There is something for everyone to do from helping put in the piers to painting the dining hall. More information on specific projects and tools required for those projects will be coming soon.

Although cheerful service is extremely fun that is not all fun Wag-O-Shag Lodge has to offer. To go along with the Halloween theme there will be multiple Halloween-themed activities to do during free time. Some of these activities include mummy racing, the famous Wag-O-Shag field activity, Halloween movie, costume contest, spooky fire, and much more!

Brand new this year is our first-ever Halloween watermelon painting and bowling! Due to pumpkins not being in-season we decided that watermelons were the next best thing. We ask that all Arrowmen signing up for Spring Conference (whether ordering a watermelon or not) fill out the pre-order form here so we know how many watermelons to order and so you can learn more information about the activity.

In light of the Halloween spirit, the Lodge Executive Committee has decided to give back to the community by participating in a food drive. Wag-O-Shag Lodge wants to give service not just to the camp but to the community as well. Reverse trick or treating is where instead of collecting candy from neighbors giving food to the local food pantry. In return for donating food, Arrowmen can receive raffle tickets for a game where you can guess the amount of candy in a jar to potentially win the candy.

Arrowmen are encouraged to bring any Halloween decorations to decorate their campsite if they choose.

This Spring Conference is going to be a full weekend starting Friday night and going through Sunday morning. There will be all of the usual Spring Conference events such as an ordeal, brotherhood, and vigil ceremony. Other events include the ordeal process, religious services (catholic and non-denominational), and trainings.
